Sports and Recreation

Khagrachhari Sadar Upazila is a tribal area. The sports and culture of the three tribes are different in nature. Ghila games, bamboo kharam races, ladeng games, water games etc. are notable among the tribal games. Besides, football, cricket, hockey, badminton, ha-du-du, carom, chess, table tennis, long tennis, handball, ludu, volleyball etc. are very popular in this upazila. Everyone plays this game and has achieved success at the national and divisional levels. There is Khagrachhari Stadium and Government High School ground for sports. There are various clubs, organizations and facilities for boys and girls.
